The founder
Dionysia Bouterakou
Founder of KOKON
She started KOKON in Sparta with one obsession: nothing reaches the counter unless it is the best version of itself.

The journey
A question that would not go away
KOKON started from something Dionysia thought every time she ate a good — but not excellent — traditional sweet: “why not better?”
The answer was not a new flavour. It was the flavour everyone knows, made properly: clean ingredients, high-patisserie technique, and the discipline to keep anything off the counter unless it is right.
Everything else was built around that principle — the name, the red, the tone of voice. KOKON ends in ON and it is always ON: a patisserie from Sparta that will not apologise for wanting its sweets to have character.
Behind the counter is a woman-led team. That is not a slogan: it is how the decisions get made, from the recipe to what gets posted.

The vision
What we are building — and why
Four principles that keep KOKON in place, however far it grows.
Freshness without compromise
We bake several times a day, not once in the morning. If it is not fresh it is not sold — that needs no further explanation.
Tradition, at its best version
We are not replacing the sweets we grew up with. We are giving them the technique, the ingredients and the looks they deserved all along.
Woman-led, in practice
A business run by women, with a team that trains and grows inside the workshop itself.
Sparta on the map
A brand that holds its own next to any in Athens, made entirely in Laconia. Being outside the capital is no excuse for less.
“We don't copy flavours. We give the sweets we grew up with the character they deserve.”

The promise
What to expect, every time
- Baked the same day — and almost always within the last few hours.
- Ingredients we will name for you, if you ask.
- The same recipe in January and in August.
- A counter you will want to photograph before you get to eat.
Come and taste
The counter is on Orthias Artemidos, in Sparta. Order ahead and pick it up.
